ITINERARY:

DAY 1 – Arrive Almaty 

• Arrival at Almaty International Airport and transfer to hotel

• Check-in

• In the afternoon, proceed for Kok Tobe Tour

 

Kok Tobe is the highest point in the city of Almaty standing on a 1100 m hill at the south-east edge of the city and offers panoramic view of the city from all directions. You will ride a cable car which starts in downtown and goes over some of the oldest parts of Almaty and the magnificent fruit growing gardens. Once you reach the Kok Tobe hill, you would see the famous 372 m high TV Tower which is visible from far and offers great views of the mountains and the city, plus a few attractions at the top including some cafes and restaurants.

 Return back to hotel

DAY 2 – Full Day Almaty City Tour + Shopping Time at Zilyoni Bazar/ Mega mall

• After Breakfast, enjoy the Almaty City Tour with an English speaking guide.

You will know more about history and development of the southern capital of Kazakhstan and see its major attractions: Palace of President, Republic Square and Monument of Independence, and Astana Square, Panfilov Park, Abai Square and Palace of Republic, Presidential Park. Then visit the Rahat Chocolate Factory shop and Local Market Zilyoni - Bazar. You can buy Chocolates from Rahat Chocolate Factory shop; dry fruits, and some souvenirs from Zilyoni Bazar.

DAY 3 – Medeo & Chimbulak

• After Breakfast, get ready for Medeo & Chimbulak Tour

This tour provides you the best opportunity to see the beautiful mountains surrounding the Almaty city. The first stop of the tour is the Medeo Gorge, where the mountains of Trans-Ili Ala-Tau the largest high mountain skating rink in the world is located,also see the huge dam that protects the city from destructive mudflows formed on the tops of the western Tien Shan.

Next destination is Chimbulak ski resort, can be reached by Cable Car, located at an altitude of 2230 meters above sea level. It is very popular for its mild climate, large number of sunny days and snow through the winter and remarkable scenery of mountain ranges. You will have enough time to enjoy it’s beauty.

DAY 4 – Big Almaty Lake & Falcon Show

• Enjoy Breakfast, after which proceed to Big Almaty Lake.

Big Almaty Lake is definitely one of the highlights of your tour. You will visit Big Almaty gorge, where at an altitude of 2,510 m above sea level located the Big Almaty lake - one of the most picturesque lakes in Trans-Ili Alatau. The Big Almaty lake was formed as a result of movement of an ancient glacier. Thanks to high-mountain location the water in the lake is always cool. Its pristine water changes colour depending on the season, astonishing mountain peaks encircling the lake from all sides, and thick ever-green forests make an unforgettable impression.

Later visit the Falcon Farm, where you will enjoy a spectacular show with specially trained hawks - hunting with them is one of the most unique features of the Kazakh way of life.

DAY 5 – Departure

• After breakfast, check-out from the hotel and transfer to Almaty International Airport

• Return home with sweet memories
