ITINERARY:

Day 1: Arrival - Madrid
Welcome to Spain, Land of the Flamenco & Fiestas! Madrid is Spain's second-largest city. Transfer to your hotel. In the afternoon, we proceed to visit the Royal Palace of Aranjuez. It is a beautiful example of 18th-century architecture and is one of the best-preserved palaces in Europe. On the panoramic tour, see some of the different areas of Madrid: from the Borbones, Austrias, Isabelino and contemporary quarters through to the Moorish Quarter. Spend the night in Madrid.

Day 2: Madrid - Toledo
After a buffet breakfast, enjoy the morning at leisure and explore Madrid on your own. In the afternoon, we proceed to Toledo - a city of great artistic beauty. It was once the country's capital and is one of the oldest cities in Europe. During a walking tour of the city centre, we visit some of the city's most famous monuments - St Tome Church, Santa Maria la Blanca Synagogue, the Victorio Macho Museum and San Juan de Los Reyes Church. Overnight stay in Madrid.

Day 3: Madrid – Excursion to Avila & Segovia
Enjoy a delicious buffet breakfast, before proceeding on a tour of Avila and Segovia. The city of Avila is encircled by 11th-century walls and looks more like a great castle than a living city. It has Romanesque churches, Gothic palaces and a fortified Cathedral from the 12th century. Continue to Segovia, a very important military city during the time of the Romans. The city was chosen by some of Castilla's Kings as a summer residence and is preserved as a notable medieval centre. We visit the Cathedral (the last gothic cathedral built in Spain) and the Alcazar, a spectacular castle.

Day 4: Madrid – Seville City Tour & Flamenco Show
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the railway station for a train to Seville, the vibrant capital of Andalusia.
In the afternoon, proceed for a tour of Seville, considered the cultural centre of the region. Its history dates back more than 2,000 years. Romans, Vandals, Visigoths and Moors all left their presence in the city.
We will then continue with a lovely river cruise where you can enjoy a new perspective to view the city. On board, we can see firsthand the untouched sides of the Golden Tower, the famous Calle Betis, the Bullring, and Triana Bridge - the oldest in the city, designed by none other than Gustav Eiffel himself. We will also see the famous Isla de la Cartuja and its Monastery, where Christopher Colombus lived for some years. In a truly Andalusian night out, enjoy a breathtaking evening with an authentic Flamenco performance. Be introduced to various flamenco styles through song, guitar and dance. Those artists will make you feel the true passion of flamenco.

Day 5: Seville – Excursion to Cordoba
After breakfast, proceed for a full-day excursion of the Andalusian city of Cordoba, one of the most beautiful in Spain. It was founded by Claudius Marcellus in the 2nd Century BC, during the Roman occupation of the Iberian Peninsula. The tour starts with a visit to the Alcazar of the Christian Kings. Formerly a Roman fortress, the Catholic Kings resided here following the Reconquest, and the Moorish influence is seen in its beautiful gardens. The next stop is perhaps the crowning point of the day, the Mosque. The building was begun in 785 AD by Abd al-Rahman on the site of an old Visigoth basilica of St. Vincent and underwent additional building work during the following two hundred years. After the Reconquest, it was reconsecrated as a Christian church and underwent further alterations, the most notable being the construction of a Renaissance cathedral nave. The Mosque today exhibits fine examples of Muslim, Gothic, Renaissance and Baroque architecture. We continue with a walk through the old Jewish Quarter, the Old Market, and the 14th Century Synagogue. After lunch, we return to Seville.

Day 6: Seville – Marbella
After breakfast, we proceed to the railway station for our train to Malaga, the birthplace of Picasso. It is also known for its excellent weather and beaches, surrounded by mountains and flanked by two rivers, the city features beautiful landscapes marked by pretty streets and lush gardens. Transfer to the hotel in Marbella.
Enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 7: Marbella - Excursion to Granada & Alhambra Palace
After breakfast, we proceed to the splendid city of Granada. We visit the Alhambra Palace and its gardens. Originally designed as a military area, the Alhambra became the residence of royalty and the court of Granada in the middle of the XIII century. Throughout the XIII, XIV and XV centuries, the fortress became a citadel which housed two main areas: the military area or Alcazaba and the medina (court city). The complex of monuments has an independent palace opposite the Alhambra, The Generalife, surrounded by orchards and beautiful gardens. After lunch, we will continue with a panoramic tour of this beautiful city.

Also, visit Girona - wander through this monumental city, which has one of Europe's best-preserved Jewish quarters.
